During the recent 2015 Global Insurance Forum, Brian Duperreault, CEO of Hamilton Insurance Group, discussed the need for the insurance industry to recruit from a new generation to bridge the Digital Divide.

According to Mr. Duperreault, the insurance industry has an aging workforce and will have at least 400,000 open positions in the next five years. He believes the industry is going to face disruption, but the disruption can come from outside forces, or it can come from within the industry.

For the industry to be disrupted from within, we must recruit “digital natives.” Mr. Duperreault says “…Millennials are adept at dealing with the digital world that we exist in today. We need them to help us change how our industry operates.”
