Chuck Chamness, CEO of the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC), discusses the challenges of working with a new Congress. Technology is supporting growth in new products. Mr. Chamness sees “Innovation Laboratories” and venture capital opportunities where companies are taking advantage of insurtech developments. Cyber risk is also a major trend and emerging market.

Mutual companies enjoy the competitive advantage of being aligned with their policyholders. Millennials value community and networks from Main Street, not Wall Street. These are all characteristics of Mutuals…the Mutual Advantage.
