WRIN.tv speaks with Siri Gadbois, President and CEO Educational & Institutional Insurance Administrators, about current market conditions and the future of the industry. She says conditions in the commercial and captive sectors are “flexible and low priced with a lot of capacity.”

Ms. Gadbois believes the industry has moved away from the cyclical nature of pricing common years ago. While low pricing is attractive in the commercial and captive market, it tends to hurt the development of risk retention groups (RRGs).

While Ms. Gadbois is confident about the future and the growing comfort level shown by the NAIC , she sees challenges for RRGs in the regulatory environment and in addressing governance structures.
