Connecticut Governor concerned about DC negotiating Covered Agreements

Connecticut Governor Daniel Malloy expressed concern that Washington officials could pre-empt state insurance regulations by negotiating ‘covered agreement ‘on reinsurance collateral with foreign authorities. Malloy said states “are moving quickly, but cautiously”, and using their 150 years of experience and regulatory judgment to assess each collateral situation.
