Sally Rosen

In a recent edition of First Monday, Sally Rosen, Assistant Vice President Life/Health, discussed the rationale for A.M. Best’s “Stable” outlook for the Health insurance segment.

According to Ms. Rosen, “2014 was the first year…where many aspects of the Affordable Care Act came together…Overall. Health insurer earnings remain favorable…most have remained adequately or more than adequately capitalized for the level of the rating.” In the near to midterm, Ms. Rosen said she “expects earnings to remain favorable…Margins are coming down and a lot of those things…are related to the Affordable Care Act.”

We’d like to thank A.M. Best for their contribution to our program.  If you’d like to see more of the First Monday Series, visit the A.M. Best website.
